L’Oiseau Fantastique marks an essential shift in my work. Matter no longer merely accompanies the gesture: it becomes presence, tension and movement.
The form seems to appear at the very moment it might dissolve. It does not seek to depict a bird, but to hold the energy of an emergence—something breaking free, rising and remaining suspended.
This work represents a passage toward painting that is freer, more physical and more deeply committed to its own language.
Gesture becomes language. Matter tells its story.
